Doctor with Old Patient in Clinic

Dr. Ramin Mirmooji and his team are dedicated to providing patients with restorative dentistry to reconstruct the smile after significant trauma or tooth loss. Below are just a few of the services offered in dental reconstruction:

  • Dental implants. Dental implants are a popular restorative dentistry treatment offered by Msmiline Cosmetic Dentistry. Dental implants are titanium posts which are surgically implanted into the jawbone and used to support replacement teeth such as dental crowns, dentures, or dental bridges, depending on your unique needs
  • Dental crowns. Dental crowns are another treatment option available at Msmiline Cosmetic Dentistry that can be used in repairing a tooth that has been cracked or broken, cover a dental implant, protect an exposed tooth root after a root canal procedure, conceal discoloration from old fillings, or cover misshapen teeth
  • Dentures. Available as either partial or complete dentures, these are removable appliances that fit over your natural teeth and gums to restore the appearance and functionality of your smile after tooth loss
  • Dental bridges. A dental bridge is another type of restoration used to replace missing teeth, typically anchored in place by crowns on the teeth adjacent to where the gap exists

Whether you require one or a combination of these restorative dentistry concepts, you can trust that Msmiline Cosmetic Dentistry will work with you to restore your beautiful smile. We evaluate your needs and recommend the best solutions to meet and exceed your expectations!

Restorative Dentistry FAQs

What is restorative dentistry, and how can it improve my smile?

The goal of restorative dentistry is to restore function and aesthetics by treating broken, decaying, or missing teeth. Dr. Mirmooji offers restorative treatments, including dental fillings, crowns, bridges, implants, and dentures. These procedures enhance your smile while improving to chew, speak, and maintain overall oral health. If you have damaged or missing teeth, Dr. Mirmooji can help develop a customized plan for restoration.

How do I know if I need restorative dental work?

You may need restorative dental care if you have cavities, cracked or broken teeth, missing teeth, or persistent tooth pain. Dr. Mirmooji evaluates patients to determine the best treatment options. Even minor issues worsen if untreated, requiring more complex care. Regular dental checkups with Dr. Mirmooji can help detect early signs of damage and prevent more serious problems from developing.

What is the difference between a filling and a crown?

A dental filling repairs small cavities or minor tooth damage by filling the affected area with a composite material. Conversely, a crown is a custom-made cap that covers the entire tooth to restore its shape, strength, and function. Dr. Mirmooji typically recommends a filling for minor decay, while a crown is best for teeth that are severely damaged, weakened, or after root canal therapy. Dr. Mirmooji will determine the best option for your specific needs during your consultation.

Are dental implants better than bridges or dentures for replacing missing teeth?

Dental implants are frequently regarded as the gold standard for tooth replacement since they offer a durable, natural-looking solution that preserves the jawbone. Implants provide greater stability than bridges and dentures, which rest on the gums or rely on adjacent teeth. However, Dr. Mirmooji understands each case differs and will explain the benefits and considerations of each option to help you make the best decision for your oral health.

How long should I expect my restorative dental treatment to reman effective?

How well you take care of your teeth and the sort of treatment you receive will determine how long restorative dental work lasts. Fillings and crowns can last ten to fifteen years or longer, while dental implants have the potential to last a lifetime with proper care. Dr. Mirmooji emphasizes the importance of good oral hygiene, regular dental checkups, and avoiding habits like teeth grinding or chewing on hard objects to maximize the longevity of your restorations. He provides guidance for long-term maintenance.

Will my restorative dental work look natural?

Yes! Dr. Mirmooji uses high-quality, tooth-colored materials such as porcelain and composite resin to create natural-looking restorations that blend seamlessly with your existing teeth. Whether you need a filling, crown, bridge, or implant, he ensures a perfect shape, color, and fit. Advanced technology and precise craftsmanship allow for durable, aesthetically pleasing results that restore both function and confidence in your smile.

Does dental insurance cover restorative procedures?

Many restorative procedures are partially covered by dental insurance, but coverage varies depending on your provider and plan. Dr. Mirmooji’s team works with patients to understand their insurance benefits and provide cost estimates before treatment. If you need assistance with financing, flexible payment options may be available to help make restorative dentistry affordable.
